Our Services

During your first visit, Dr. Tredinick will conduct a thorough oral examination, including X-rays if needed. She will then discuss the course of treatment best suited for you and will always keep your regular dentist informed of any diagnosis and recommended treatments. If you have any questions before your appointment, please do not hesitate to call our office.

For your first visit, please be sure to bring your insurance information, the referral form from your dentist or dental specialist, any radiographs taken by the referring doctor, and a complete list of your current medications including dosages.

You will have the option to receive our treatment under conscious oral sedation.  This is a safe and effective modality we offer to our patients. Dr. Tredinick is certified by Texas State to deliver dental treatment with conscious sedation. This will be done orally with a pill. Intravenous sedation is also an available option.

Coastal Periodontics performs a wide variety of periodontic services, including but not exclusive to:

Scaling and root planing
Scaling is the removal of tartar (calculus) from the teeth. Root planing is a deep cleaning of the teeth below the gumline.

Non-surgical chemotherapeutic treatment

This refers to the placing of anti-bacterial medicine to the area below the gumline in order to kill bacteria and stop the spread of gum disease.

Surgical treatments
We conduct surgery to arrest periodontal disease and restore existing structures back to health. Sometimes, gum disease spreads to the bone, eating it away from the roots of your teeth. In these cases, Coastal Periodontics surgically grafts bone to replace that which has been lost to periodontal disease.

Cosmetic Periodontal Surgery
Embarrassed by your smile? Coastal Periodontics can help! Gummy smiles or uneven teeth can be repaired thanks to techniques used in cosmetic periodontal surgery. A variety of procedures can be done to enhance your smile, including soft tissue grafts and crown lengthening. Call our offices to find out more.

Dental Implants
Dental implants provide a foundation for replacement teeth that will look, feel, and function just like natural teeth. Implants are also used as a bridge replacement or the foundation of a new bridge. Once referred to our office, Dr. Tredinick will perform an assessment of your situation and the likely success of implants. As always, any procedure she recommends will be discussed with you and your doctor. We will then prepare you for a successful procedure.

Oral Medicine
We offer examination and consultation services, including biopsy, leading to the diagnosis and management of disorders of the tissues of the mouth. Dr. Tredinick works closely with oral pathologists to provide you with a timely diagnosis and recommended treatment plan.
